Morning Snack: orange juice and a banana
Lunch: Turkey and bacon sandwich. Also an apple
Afternoon snack: Mocha Freedo at Peete’s
Dinner: Ramen
Dessert: Ice cream… only because I had to test out the hot fudge I made for tomorrow’s party
Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice, and 3 strawberries. Definitely rotting as fast as they ripen now, so need to pick them a bit green.
Lunch: Ham sandwich with hummus and cheddar cheese. Also some kettle chips
Afternoon snack: Coke zero, some M&Ms, also a salted apple cider caramel that someone brought in… apparently it’s a Smitten Kitchen recipe
Dinner: Noodle cake (noodles, Parmesan, bacon, mozzarella… would be way, way better with gorgonzolla), Ceasar salad.
Dessert: See’s candy
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich, potato chips
Afternoon snack: Experimental chocolate chip cookie dough tart
Dinner: Pulled pork sandwich and fries from WhipOut food truck at the Oakland Museum
Dessert: Chocolate cream puff from Puff Truck at the Oakland Museum. Very tasty, but I think the vanilla cream one looked better
Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice, 3 strawberries
Morning Snack: Pear
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly. True to form, I had to go buy some potato chips. Buffalo Bleu from Kettle.
Afternoon snack: Some Hershey’s miniatures… Coke zero.
Dinner: Split a shawarma plate from Adam’s Mediterranean. This was delicious. The girls, predictably, ordered hamburgers, and I was glad they did… even though they got them “kid style” (i.e., with absolutely nothing on them) it was a fantastic burger… very flavorful meat, almost like it had some lamb in it… delicious.
Breakfast: Cliff bar (early morning meeting)
Lunch: Burrito from Vallejos in Sacramento. One of those meals that just does an injury! This was the closest place to our meeting, and we got a recommendation from someone whose cousin owned it or something. Anyway, I ordered a carnitas burrito, and it shows up about the same size as a chinchila. I kid you not, this fucking thing would not have fit through a piece of 4″ PVC. I didn’t finish it, thank god, but it was still like a bomb went off. Sadly, except for the size, it was disappointing. The meat was beautifully cooked, but the flavor was bland.
Afternoon snack: Frappucino. Not because I was hungry (like hell!) but because I was tired and had a long drive.
Dinner: Leftover chicken
Dessert: See’s candy
Breakfast: Grapenuts with cranberry juice and fresh strawberries
Lunch: Chicken sandwich with hummus
Afternoon snack: Probably some candy or something?
Dinner: Pasta with garden tomatoes
Dessert: Skillet cookie with vanilla ice cream
Breakfast: Homemade maple granola with cranberry juice and fresh strawberries
Morning Snack: Gingerbread shark cookies. Hey, it’s shark week.
Lunch: Chicken guacamole sandwich
Afternoon snack: Chocolate chip cookie from Aroma
Dinner: Grilled chicken with pepper jack cheese and guacamole. Also corn on the cob.
Dessert: A cupcake from a food truck at the food event in El Cerrito.
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Afternoon snack: Hershy’s kisses. I’d held out buying candy for a long time, but I was needing something after my trip.
Dinner: Mac-and-cheese. Along with a Caprese salad.
Dessert: Skillet cookie with ice cream
