FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Grapenuts with cranberry juice and fresh strawberries

Lunch: peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I sometimes forget just how awesome these are, but I had a loaf of good sourdough bread and nothing else to put in it.

Afternoon snack: Kettlecorn. I love my co-workers. I really do. But rolling out of work today, my stomach wanted to find who brought whoever brought a giant bag of this for communal consumption and make them eat my dinner for me.

Dinner:  Tortilla soup.

Dessert:   Strawberries and ice cream

WEDNESDAY I ATE

Location: Home

Breakfast: Grapenuts with cranberry juice

Morning Snack: Apple

LunchTurkey avocado sandwich

Afternoon snack:  Mini Twix candies with Dove dark chocolate squares

Dinner: Pork chili verde burrito from Picante in Berkeley. This place is great; sort of a cross between a sit down eatery and a taqueria. It has the advantage that the whole family can find something to eat here

Location: FHL -> Lopez island

Breakfast: Grapenuts with cranberry juice

Lunch: the real thing! The real today beef and rocket from Market Chef. They seem to have changed the bread slightly in the past year, but the horse radish sauce is just as good. It was more liquid than I remember. Sadly, I was running so late for the ferry that I didn’t get to go in to chat… my most excellent friend, Ivan, realized I was about to miss the ferry and called to see what we wanted to eat.

Afternoon snack: port wine cheese on Ritz crackers. The taste of the ’70s

Dinner: cheeseburgers. With bacon and grilled onions.

Dessert: S’mores, of course. But then Val pulls out some strawberries and marshmallow fluff and kicked it up a notch.

FRIDAY I ATE:

Breakfast: Grapenuts with cranberry juice

Lunch: Don’t recall, actually

Dinner:  Ate at Elevation 66, a nearby brewpub. The food here is really good. We shared the flatiron steak and a salad. Also tried the burger and the Mac & Cheese. The Mac, was good, although the noodles were a little overcooked. The beer was tasty, too. Only downside is that this place can be really noisy.

Dessert: Apple pie. Eliza announced she wanted to make one this morning.
