SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes (Tessa made them)
Lunch: Roast beef, blue cheese, lettuce, and hummus on a pita
Dinner: Deep dish Mediterranean chicken pizza from Little Star. Their pizza is good, but still not as good as Zacchary’s. While others rave about the cornmeal crust, I think it is too crumbly
Dessert: Leftover cherry pie with ice cream. It was definitely better after a day for the flavors to mellow

FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: A bite of a GNC protein bar I picked up at bike to work day. One bite was enough. Nasty.
Lunch: Ham sandwich with hummus
Afternoon snack: Hummus and chips, plus some candy. Coke zero
Dinner: Leftover pork tenderloin, corn pancakes, rice, green salad
Dessert: Chocolate chip cookies

DAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: A few small pastries (and a piece of pizza) at bike-to-work-day stations.
Lunch: Turkey cranberry sandwich from Cafe Gabriela in Oakland. It was pretty good, but small. I think the mayo was house-made; really tasty. I would order the sopressata sandwich next time, or the pulled pork. The trouble, though, is that they all are on a baguette, which means biting it will send the filling out the other side.
Afternoon snack: Cupcakes from Cupcake Love in Oakland. Brought in for someone’s birthday. Had little bites of each and all very tasty.

Dinner: Pork tenderloin, the backyard bbq recipe from Sarah Foster. Also some corn pancakes with a lime cilantro sour cream sauce. Amazing.
Dessert: Chocolate chip cookies with some ice cream.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes. Tried mixing the batter with an electric whisk to make it pour better (for artistic reasons) but they ended up really rubbery.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with hummus
Afternoon snack: chocolate chips, coke zero
Dinner: Turkey pot pie… with biscuits instead of crust.
Dessert: Eliza’s mint brownies

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes with syrup and applesauce
Morning Snack: Pancake sandwiches with penuche frosting and chocolate chips. This was a spur-of-the-moment decision as there were some leftover pancakes just sitting there at the same time Suzanne decided that a batch of frosting wasn’t properly spreadable and decided to make another. These were fantastic.

Lunch: Leftover pizza rolls
Afternoon snack: Hot cocoa. Coke zero.
Dinner: Burger stuffed with gorgonzolla, topped with saute’d onions and in a bun made from the pizza roll recipe. I tried something I’ve wanted to do for a while: cook the stuffed burgers sous vide. It was a successful experiment, but I should have charred them more at the end.
I also added some mozarella to try to bind the blue cheese, and that was wholly successful.

Dessert: The photo version of the banana blondies with penuche frosting for Flourarrangements

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes
Lunch: BBQ pulled pork sandwich at Buck’s in Woodside. The pork was in a sauce that was a bit sweeter than I like, but still OK. THe onion strings were awesome. Next time, I’d have the burger, which looked awesome.
Afternoon snack: Some mixed nuts
Dinner: Leftover pasta with leftover chicken and some pesto
Dessert: Leftover chocolate fondue on some berries.
