SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Hot tea. English muffin
Morning Snack: Iced tea. Brownie
Lunch: Grilled mozarella and tomato sandwich
Afternoon snack: Soccer party… watermellon, cupcake, hot dog.
Dinner: Ate at Five in Berkeley. Great meal. Smoked gouda mac&cheese appetizer. Gnocchi with lamb as main course.
Dessert: Chocolate chip cookies at Berkeley Rep.

FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: English muffin with cream cheese and strawberries
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Pizza from Sliver in Berkeley. A tomato/basil/garlic job. Also cheesecake with raspberry sauce
Afternoon snack: Coke zero (2… it was a long aftenoon). A couple of little chocolate squares
Dinner: Sausage and pasta and broccoli
Dessert: S’mores… made them on stale cupcakes. Flat marshmallows are brilliant.

WEDNESDAY I ATE

May the Fourth be with you
Breakfast: English muffin with cream cheese and jelly
Morning Snack: Hot tea
Lunch: Peanut butter, bacon, banana and honey sandwich. Buffalo Bleu chips. Also a chocolate chip cookie.
Afternoon snack: Coke zero. Some caramel corn
Dinner: Experimental egg cups with tomato. Green salad
Dessert: Leftover cupcakes

TUESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Raisin bran, cranberry juice. Not sure what possessed me to buy Raisin bran, but there it is.
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Roast turkey sandwich with cranberry from the UCSF hospital cafe
Afternoon snack: Iced tea and chocolate cookie from Starbucks
Dinner: Spaghetti Bolognese from Mangia Mangia in Albany. I don’t know why, but I’ve been craving this for days. I was going to make it up in the pressure cooker, but didn’t get home from work until after 8:00, so I stopped here. I’v wondered how this place was, and was happy to have a chance to try it. The pasta was excellent, with a good mix of meat and tomato and spice. It was a bit expensive, though, so I won’t be taking the whole family any time soon.

FRIDAY I ATE

Location: Juneau, Alaska
Breakfast:  Oatmeal, bacon, sausage, some chicken with cheese and black beans thing, watermelon, grapes, orange juice
Lunch: tomato-balsamic soup and Mac&cheese (shared both) from The Rookery Cafe in downtown Juneau. Probably the best lunch on the trip, at least the soup.
Afternoon snack: soft pretzel with mustard, a brownie, and a chocolate chip cookie that Eliza baked in kids camp. Also, coke zero
Dinner: appetizer was duck prosciutto with tomatoes and mozzarella. Then a tomato soup, which was good. I also had part of someone else’s appetizers, which was like a chicken flatbread with red onion. Main course was a chicken breast
Dessert:  Mickey mouse bar

WEDDAY I ATE

Location: Tracy Arm, Alaska
Breakfast:  hot tea, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, watermelon, orange juice
Lunch: brie and bacon panini, ham and red onion sandwich.
Green salad. Also black first pudding, chocolate tart, chocolate chip cookies, and coke zero
Afternoon snack: hot cocoa to recover from chill of standing in rain watching glacier
Dinner: tuna and avocado thing that was nasty so I ignored it, tomato soup that was very good, Jamaican chicken with sweet potatoes
Dessert:  Mickey mouse bar

TUESDAY I ATE

Location: inside page, BC
Breakfast:  hot tea. buffet time. Oatmeal, bacon, sausage, hash, orange juice
Morning Snack: a few bites of fruit.
Lunch: quesadilla, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, chocolate pudding cake (not with finishing… should have had the key lime pie)
Afternoon snack: soft serve ice cream, Coke zero
Dinner: tomato tart with goat cheese, butternut squash soup, filet mignon with mashed potatoes,
Dessert:  Mickey mouse bar. Far and away the best dessert on the boat
Midnight snack: breadsticks, chunks of parmesan cheese (surprisingly, not tasty), prosciutto, hot chocolate

Lunch: peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Afternoon snack: frappuccino thing from The Bean. Really good and chocolatey
Dinner: a garbanzo bean and tomato dish Petra made. The girls loved it
Dessert:  mocha ice cream bar

Afternoon snack: Frozen yogurt from one of those places that lets you pile on all sorts of flavors
Dinner: A new pasta Suzanne found… tomato and panchetta. from Epicurius.
