Dinner: Skillet polenta with taco seasoning (experimental)
Dessert: Mini grasshopper pie

THURSDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Oatmeal with peanut butter and banana
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Buffalo bleu kettle chips
Afternoon snack: Tortilla chips, coke zero, halloween candy
Dinner: Skillet polenta with leftover taco fixings
Dessert: Experimental grasshopper cupcakes

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Bismark (custard filled) from Johnny Doughnuts in San Rafael. Very good doughnut, with home-made pastry cream.
Lunch: Rice, beans, leftover taco meat, and cheese
Afternoon snack: Ice cream from 31 Flavors. I had peanut butter and chocolate. It wasn’t clear that Tessa had ever heard of Baskin Robbins, so we fixed that. Did you know that on the 31st of any month, Baskin Robins sells scoops of ice cream for $1.31? Neither did I, but it’s awesome. Also a Coke Zero.
Dinner: Went to Eliza’s violin recital, and they had an impressive spread of cheese and crackers and cookies, so we had a lot of those. Went home and opened a can of minnestrone soup from TJ’s

FRIDAY I ATE

Location: Tampa, FL
Lunch: Burrito pollo chile verde from Taco Bus in Tampa. It was a really amazing burrito. Diet Coke
Afternoon snack: Way too much candy from the conference booth
Dinner: Went to The Refinery with Chris Osovitz and Michelle. Had quail on rice with carrots, along with a side of caramelized carrots. Very good. Also tried the fish, which was nice, and the kale gnudi which was awesome.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Hot tea
Morning Snack: TJ’s fruit bar
Lunch: Pork tacos at the Cal Academy cafe… unfortunately, they were having kitchen issues and the tacos were cold
Afternoon snack: Froyo from As You Wish. Also a Slurpee from 7-11 because, you know, it’s July 11
Dinner: Taco party for Annette’s birthday. Oh, so much better than the lunch tacos
Dessert: A piece of birthday cake. Also a peach later on

Morning snack: Sweet potato roll with honey
Lunch: Leftover taco stuff
Afternoon snack: Chips and cupcakes at last day of school party. Coke zero
Dinner: Barney’s. Split a western burger, green salad, and curly fries. Also split a milkshake. Even split, it was a lot of food
Dessert: I’ll call the milkshake from dinner my dessert

Breakfast:  Granola, cranberry juice
Lunch: leftover taco fixings with avocado
Afternoon snack: iced tea, chocolate chip cookie from Aaron’s
Aroma, coffee zero
Dinner: went to the Westbrae beer garden. Split a carnitas rice bowl and some corn cheese fritters
Dessert: mint chocolate birthday cake that Eliza decorated. The cake was actually leftover from February, but came out of the freezer like new.

Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Afternoon snack: Cheese and crackers someone left out in the lunch room
Dinner: Leftover taco stuff
Dessert: A new iteration of the experimental raspberry cream tart. Oh, this one is so awesome. Actually, this iteration was so-so, due to a ganache problem, but the filling was fabulous.
