FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Ham and cheese sandwich
Afternoon snack: Coke zero
Dinner: Noodle cake with homemade bruschetta
Dessert: Chocolate/Mint chocolate chip milkshake from iScream. Shared with Tessa, and really, she drank most of it.

SATURDAY I ATE

Location: Ketchikan, AK
Breakfast:  hot tea
Morning Snack:  fruit plate
Lunch: Cheeseburger with fries. Also fried calamari, iced tea
Afternoon snack: chocolate chip cookie
Dinner: Alaskan king crab legs, green salad, elk tenderloin
Dessert:  mint chip ice cream Sunday
late snack: hot cocoa

MONDAY I ATE

Location: Kelso, WA -> Friday Harbor
Breakfast: A bacon and egg croissant from Starbucks. Astonishingly good, considering I don’t like that sort of thing. Orange juice
Lunch: Garlic chicken and rice from Thai Gusto in Everett. Happened to remember this place as we were driving in to town. Tessa claims to love Thai food, but by “Thai food” she means sticky rice. Not so much with the protein.
Afternoon snack: Java chip Frappuccino
Dinner: Hamburger and chicken and green salad and watermellon / blueberry salad with Justin and Rita. The hamburger was something called “Hamburger Bacon” which is ground beef cured like bacon added to normal ground beef. It makes quite a burger.
Dessert:  Peanut butter M&M brownies and Mint chip brownies

THURSDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Lunch: Leftover pizza. My girls like cheese and olives, no sauce. It is not better cold.
Afternoon snack: A piece of sweet potato pie that my work colleagues saved for me. With ice cream. These people are awesome! Also, Coke Zero
Dinner: Chicken with spiced yogurt marinade (only made with buttermilk which was not as good). Yogurt sauce with mint topping. Green salad
Dessert: Black forest cake in honor of Ginny’s birthday

TUESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Sandwich with leftover chicken and hummus
Afternoon snack: Chocolate brownie, Coke Zero
Dinner: Ramen noodle dish with leftover chicken
Dessert: Mint chocolate chip from I-Scream. At least we rode bikes up there for it.

Breakfast: Hot tea
Lunch: Leftover pizza. Even better the next day
Afternoon snack: Red cheese, Ritz crackers, mint tea, Coke Zero
Dinner: Tacos
Dessert: Chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel frosting… Tessa’s baking project and oh, so good.

WEDNESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Coffee snacks for my first day working at UC Berkeley… Bagels with cream cheese, plus coffee cake
Lunch: Had a turkey and avocado sandwich from The Stuffed Inn in Berkeley. Sadly, there is something structurally wrong with this sandwich on a French roll… I can’t figure out how to bite it without all the stuffing just squirting out the side
Afternoon snack: Coke Zero
Dinner: Chicken with yogurt mint sauce and homemade flatbread.
Dessert: A little thin mint ice cream

MONDAY I ATE

Breakfast:  Granola, cranberry juice
Lunch: leftover taco fixings with avocado
Afternoon snack: iced tea, chocolate chip cookie from Aaron’s
Aroma, coffee zero
Dinner: went to the Westbrae beer garden. Split a carnitas rice bowl and some corn cheese fritters
Dessert: mint chocolate birthday cake that Eliza decorated. The cake was actually leftover from February, but came out of the freezer like new.

THURSDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Toast with peanut butter and honey
Lunch: Roasted turkey and cranberry sandwich from the Fat Cat
Afternoon snack: Some chocolate squares, Coke Zero
Dinner: Went to Renee’s. A cumin lamb, mu shu pork, beef with basil, and some amazing green beans
Dessert: Ice cream from i scream. I had the dark chocolate and mint chip. Tessa had salted caramel, and we shared.

Morning Snack: Pita chips
Lunch: Turkey, hummus, and shredded carrot on pita
Afternoon snack: Hershey’s miniature chocolate bars, coke zero, some figs with prosciutto and balsalmic
Dinner: Tacos
Dessert: Chocolate soda with mint chip ice cream
