SUNDAY I ATE

Lunch: Border burrito with chicken at Dos Coyotes. Always a favorite if we happen to be driving through Davis
Afternoon snack: Hummus with pita chips
Dinner: Pasta with pesto, salad, bread. At uncle Dan’s
Dessert: Chocolate chip cookies. Too many chocolate chip cookies.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes. Tried mixing the batter with an electric whisk to make it pour better (for artistic reasons) but they ended up really rubbery.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with hummus
Afternoon snack: chocolate chips, coke zero
Dinner: Turkey pot pie… with biscuits instead of crust.
Dessert: Eliza’s mint brownies

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes with syrup and applesauce
Morning Snack: Pancake sandwiches with penuche frosting and chocolate chips. This was a spur-of-the-moment decision as there were some leftover pancakes just sitting there at the same time Suzanne decided that a batch of frosting wasn’t properly spreadable and decided to make another. These were fantastic.

Lunch: Leftover pizza rolls
Afternoon snack: Hot cocoa. Coke zero.
Dinner: Burger stuffed with gorgonzolla, topped with saute’d onions and in a bun made from the pizza roll recipe. I tried something I’ve wanted to do for a while: cook the stuffed burgers sous vide. It was a successful experiment, but I should have charred them more at the end.
I also added some mozarella to try to bind the blue cheese, and that was wholly successful.

Dessert: The photo version of the banana blondies with penuche frosting for Flourarrangements

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Donuts from Happy Donuts. Not the one on San Pablo near Gilman, but the one on Gilman near San Pablo. Just in case there is any confusion. This one is way better. Of all the donut shops in this part of town, it has the darkest chocolate icing. Nice folks, too.
Lunch: Leftover Mac&Cheese
Afternoon snack: Straciatella gelato from Caravaggio in Berkeley
Caravaggio gelato
Dinner: Ribs and potato salad at friend’s house. Delicious!
Dessert: Next iteration of the banana blondies with panuche frosting. This time with chocolate bars inside.

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes
Lunch: BBQ pulled pork sandwich at Buck’s in Woodside. The pork was in a sauce that was a bit sweeter than I like, but still OK. THe onion strings were awesome. Next time, I’d have the burger, which looked awesome.
Afternoon snack: Some mixed nuts
Dinner: Leftover pasta with leftover chicken and some pesto
Dessert: Leftover chocolate fondue on some berries.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Custard-filled chocolate bar from All-Star doughnuts
Lunch: Leftover buttermilk chicken on top of Eliza’s leftover fried rice
Afternoon snack:A few chocolate chips. Coke zero.
Dinner: Fondue. One, classic, with grueyere, another that was cheddar with applesauce. Supposed to be apple-butter, but we were out, so Suzanne reduced some applesauce down. The cheese melted in a weird way, but the flavor was nice.
Dessert: Chocolate fondue. Nice with the Guittard chocolate. Make a double recipe for 8. Tessa was quite a fan.

THURSDAY I ATE

Morning Snack: Leftover naan with hummus and salami
Lunch: Lemon chicken at Golden Palace Chinese in Moraga. The food was good, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone in the future.
Afternoon snack:Frapuccino
Dinner: Leftover chicken byrianni (didn’t eat until about 10:00).
Dessert:

SUNDAY I ATE

Lunch: Costco hot dog
Afternoon snack:Cookie dough. We got home from Costco and Eliza announced she wanted to do a baking project. So she went into the kitchen and looked up one of Suzanne’s recipes for a Cookie Dough Tart. She came out to the backyard with a bowl full of cookie dough which occupied our afternoon.
Dinner: Leftover chicken byriani
Dessert: A Sharffen-Berger chocolate bar santa left in my stocking. Good choice, Mr. Claus.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pineapple (been sitting around for a week and finally got ripe)
Morning Snack: Chocolate-covered jellied raspberry things. Also some chocolate santas. Went to the hardware store looking for cheap christmas lights, but all they had at 75% off was leftover candy.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich
Afternoon snack:Mocha fredo at Peet’s
Dinner: Chicken and beef kabobs at Citra Grill in Walnut Creek. This place is right across from the movie theater and has sort of general middle eastern food. Very tasty kabobs, and cooked just right. The salmon was also delicious. Service was a bit spotty. Tried to be very helpful, but then took 30 minutes for an extra kabob.
