WEDNESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Turkey sandwich
Afternoon snack: French fries smothered in white gravy with a side of pulled pork. Astonishingly, I hod nothing to do with ordering this, and was seated in front of it along with several vegetarians who were no help at all
Dinner: Ate at Costco. Since I was stuffed with fries and pork (see above) I just nibbled other people’s pizza and bbq beef sandwich.
Dessert: Leftover lemon bars

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Donuts from Happy Donuts. Not the one on San Pablo near Gilman, but the one on Gilman near San Pablo. Just in case there is any confusion. This one is way better. Of all the donut shops in this part of town, it has the darkest chocolate icing. Nice folks, too.
Lunch: Leftover Mac&Cheese
Afternoon snack: Straciatella gelato from Caravaggio in Berkeley
Caravaggio gelato
Dinner: Ribs and potato salad at friend’s house. Delicious!
Dessert: Next iteration of the banana blondies with panuche frosting. This time with chocolate bars inside.

WEDNESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with cranberry
Afternoon snack: 2 milky way dark, coke zero
Dinner: Stuffed spinach and mushroom pizza from Zacchry’s
Dessert: Experimental persimmon cake (for Suzanne’s dad). It was way better than I was expecting… more like a carrot cake (which I also don’t love). So I’d never order it for my birthday, but I started with the smallest sliver I could cut and ended up going back for more.

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes
Lunch: BBQ pulled pork sandwich at Buck’s in Woodside. The pork was in a sauce that was a bit sweeter than I like, but still OK. THe onion strings were awesome. Next time, I’d have the burger, which looked awesome.
Afternoon snack: Some mixed nuts
Dinner: Leftover pasta with leftover chicken and some pesto
Dessert: Leftover chocolate fondue on some berries.

SUNDAY I ATE

Lunch: Costco hot dog
Afternoon snack:Cookie dough. We got home from Costco and Eliza announced she wanted to do a baking project. So she went into the kitchen and looked up one of Suzanne’s recipes for a Cookie Dough Tart. She came out to the backyard with a bowl full of cookie dough which occupied our afternoon.
Dinner: Leftover chicken byriani
Dessert: A Sharffen-Berger chocolate bar santa left in my stocking. Good choice, Mr. Claus.

SATURDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pineapple (been sitting around for a week and finally got ripe)
Morning Snack: Chocolate-covered jellied raspberry things. Also some chocolate santas. Went to the hardware store looking for cheap christmas lights, but all they had at 75% off was leftover candy.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich
Afternoon snack:Mocha fredo at Peet’s
Dinner: Chicken and beef kabobs at Citra Grill in Walnut Creek. This place is right across from the movie theater and has sort of general middle eastern food. Very tasty kabobs, and cooked just right. The salmon was also delicious. Service was a bit spotty. Tried to be very helpful, but then took 30 minutes for an extra kabob.
