Lunch:  Leftover pizza

Afternoon snack:  Some Halloween candy

Dinner:  Chinese chicken salad at California Pizza Kitchen

Dessert: Popcorn and Junior Mints at movies

FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice, 2 strawberries

Lunch: ham and cheddar sandwich

Afternoon snack: just a ludicrous amount of ice cream, some homemade, some from a crazy-good ice cream place, with hot fudge and caramel sauce. Office party awesomeness

Dinner: pizza with cherries, garlic, and gorgonzola

Dessert: too much Halloween candy. But serving 150 trick or treaters works up an appetite

THURSDAY I ATE

Morning Snack: orange juice and a banana

LunchTurkey and bacon sandwich. Also an apple

Afternoon snack:  Mocha Freedo at Peete’s

Dinner:  Ramen

Dessert: Ice cream… only because I had to test out the hot fudge I made for tomorrow’s party

WEDNESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice, and 3 strawberries. Definitely rotting as fast as they ripen now, so need to pick them a bit green.

LunchHam sandwich with hummus and cheddar cheese. Also some kettle chips

Afternoon snack:  Coke zero, some M&Ms, also a salted apple cider caramel that someone brought in… apparently it’s a Smitten Kitchen recipe

Dinner:  Noodle cake (noodles, Parmesan, bacon, mozzarella… would be way, way better with gorgonzolla), Ceasar salad.

Dessert: See’s candy

Morning Snack: Bittersweet hot cocoa from Bittersweet

LunchHam sandwich with swiss

Afternoon snack:  Coke zero, Reese’s peanut butter cups

Dinner:  Leftover stuffed pork chops

Dessert: Brownies

Breakfast: Grapenuts, cranberry juice, 2 strawberries

LunchLeftover chili and rice

Afternoon snack:  Chocolate chip cookie from Bittersweet. This was an especially good batch

Dinner: Leftover stuffed pork, plus experimental Ceasar salad  

Dessert: Experimental cardamom sweet potato pie with lime whipped cream

Breakfast: Waffles, thanks Eliza and Tarn.

Morning Snack: Red cheese.

LunchPork chile verde burrito at Picante

Dinner:  Ceasar salad. Dad’s old recipe. Must write this down, probably on mankitchen.

Dessert: Some brownies that someone brought over.

Breakfast: Pancakes. Thanks, Eliza (but clean up the kitchen next time, ‘K?)

Morning Snack: Chocolate chip cookie… you know, just so I had an excuse to sit in a coffee house and work.

LunchHot dog at Costco

Dinner:  Stuffed pork chops. Kato-Reillys and Patrick visiting. Sadly, I once again overcooked them. These are one of my favorite recipes, but the thin meat on each side of the stuffing is really hard to cook just right. Next time, I’ll try sous vide.

Dessert: experimental sweet potato pie with homemade marshmallows… still needs some flavor tweaking

Dinner: Pulled pork sandwich and fries from WhipOut food truck at the Oakland Museum
