THURSDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack:  Blackberry pie
Lunch: Roast beef sandwich with blue cheese
Afternoon snack: Chocolate brownies, coke zero
Dinner: Ate at Revival in Berkeley. Meatball appetizer was delicious, but they were more spherical sausages than meatballs… the Kale “Ceasar” was also good, but nothing about it was at all Ceasar-like. The sea bass was delious

TUESDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Fruit and orange juice

FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Lunch: Turkey sandwich from Cafe Milano in Berkeley. I had a total flashback to lugging my giant “laptop” that I got out of the DAK catalog down here to write papers back in the early 1990’s.
Afternoon snack: Coke zero, a mini snickers bar
Dinner: Went to Five in Berkeley. The food was delicious: a salad of figs and cheese that was fabulous. I’ve never had figs that sweet.
fillo wrapped herbed goat cheese and mixed green salad with prosciutto chips, pickeled red onion, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto. This was tasty, although the fillo wrapped cheese was relegated to the side more than I was expecting.
For a main, we split homemade herb pappardelle with shredded braised lamb shank. roasted squash. onion, pickled mushroom.
So, great food, but the service was terrible. We almost missed our concert. The manager did give us 25% off because it was so bad.
Dessert: Gelato from Amare in Berkeley
