MONDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Lunch: Roast beef and gorgonzolla sandwich
Afternoon snack: a few chips of chocolate, Coke Zero
Dinner: Noodle cake with bacon and bruschetta from Trader Joe’s, artichoke, green salad
Dessert: Ice cream with some leftover ganache on top

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Pancakes (Tessa made them)
Lunch: Roast beef, blue cheese, lettuce, and hummus on a pita
Dinner: Deep dish Mediterranean chicken pizza from Little Star. Their pizza is good, but still not as good as Zacchary’s. While others rave about the cornmeal crust, I think it is too crumbly
Dessert: Leftover cherry pie with ice cream. It was definitely better after a day for the flavors to mellow

FRIDAY I ATE

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack: Apple
Lunch: Leftover spaghetti
Afternoon snack: Cookies, Coke Zero
Dinner: Prosciutto wrapped beef tenderloin, asparagus, green salad
Dessert: Flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry puree. Birthday week is the best!

SUNDAY I ATE

Breakfast: (Brunch, really). Reuben sandwich at Sam’s Log. Cabin in Albany. Pretty good reuben, though I think my corned beef is better. Iced tea.
Afternoon snack: A little smoked trout with Ritz crackers
Dinner: Pizza from Costco
Dessert: A York peppermint patty

FRIDDAY I ATE

Breakfast:  granola aquarium, cranberry juice
Morning Snack:  an Apple. ’cause, you know, I’m healthy like that.
Lunch: oh, wait, I lied. Popeye’s fried chicken and biscuits. Kind of needed a shower afterwards, but damn it was good. Diet coke.
Afternoon snack: not really feeling the need.
Dinner: helped the girls eat their pizza and bbq beef brisket sandwich at Costco. Diet coke
Dessert:  leftover kahlua chocolate cake. A little crumbly in the car, but still delicious road food.

Afternoon snack: M&M’s. Coke zero
Dinner: Chicken with cheesy polenta and roasted red onions from Foster’s Market. Green salad
Dessert: Kahlua chocolate cake

Breakfast: Granola, cranberry juice
Morning Snack:  Iced tea
Lunch: Roast beef and blue cheese sandwich from Specialties
Afternoon snack: Candy, Coke Zero
Dinner: Pork tenderloin with Asian spice from Cook’s Illustrated
Dessert: Gingerbread strawberry cake. Very much an experiment, and not my favorite. Part of that might have been the “alien boogers” Eliza whipped up for April Fool’s Day.

Dinner: Leftover chicken byriani
Dessert: Raspberry jello, plus some chocolate chips because I realized I’d gone an entire day without any chocolate
